We have invited Texas Senator Drew Springer and Representative Reggie Smith to tell us what took place during the 140 days they were in Austin tending to the affairs of “We Texans.” Some described this 87th session as a failure since they only passed one of the Top 8 + 1 Legislative Priorities voted on by the delegates at the State Convention or voted on at a Texoma Patriots meeting. But what was accomplished?
Our two elected officials are coming to inform us about what new laws passed, which ones never made it for a vote and why, and what’s on the Governor’s desk awaiting signature. Republican Party of Texas (RPT) priorities this session were Election Integrity, Religious Freedom, Children and Gender Modification, Abolition of Abortion, Constitutional Carry, Monument Protection, School Choice for All, and Ban Taxpayer-Funded Lobbying. The plus 1 was Reforming Emergency Powers. We added the Electric Grid. Text or Email any questions you have about the session to 214-232-7518 or texomapatriotsofficial@gmail.com.
Jim’s delicious barbecue buffet will be open at 5. Come early and dine with us before the meeting. See you & your friends Tuesday. Everyone is welcome. There is no charge to attend our meetings.
Mark your calendar - Our July meeting is set for Wednesday, July 14, at 7 p.m. Our speaker is Chad Prather, candidate for Governor of Texas in the 2022 election Meeting will be at the Red River Cowboy Church, 3800 Highway 691, Denison TX https://goo.gl/maps/9Ar6QMMcFh1mpAu49 We will invite the other candidates running for Texas Governor to future meetings.

Our current Republican Party of Texas Chairman Allen West has resigned. His replacement will be selected by the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) on July 11th. So far, two individuals have declared they are running for the position - Matt Rinaldi from Dallas District 115 and David Covey from Orange County. Our SREC members are doing a canvas of SD30 members to find out our ‘druthers. Give input to Deon neon_deon@verizon.net or Britton brittonbrookslaw@gmail.com. We need you to urge Governor Abbott to convene a special session ASAP to pass Election Integrity reform after the conference bill SB7 failed to receive a vote in the House. Changes are required to ensure it is easy to vote, but hard to cheat in TX. The Democrats walked out of the session so there was no quorum, thus no vote.
