UNDERSTANDING THE LEFT
David Hamilton is the founder and Chairman of the America’s Future Series, a non-partisan think tank and speaker series focused on U.S. Global Competitiveness and National Security. David spent over 20 years actively engaged in the Civil Rights Movement and advocating for Social Justice causes. Of significance for his talk to us, he was a follower of Saul Alinsky. David founded Students Concerned with Issues Awareness and co-wrote with black activist D.C. Carr a column entitled “Our Nation on Issues of Color.”
In chapter 1 of his book Rules for Radicals, Saul Alinsky wrote: “. . . we are concerned with how to create mass organizations to seize power and give it to the people; . . . This means revolution.”
In his talk, Hamilton will take us on his journey from what it is that the Left believes to his swing to the Right. It is important today that we understand what drives the Left so we can combat it and defeat it.
