It’s the merry, merry month of May . . . and I am writing to let you know we
are not holding a meeting this month. This is the first time in 16 years we
have skipped inviting you to a meeting to learn about what’s going on.
Anna and I decided with so many activities this month - graduations,
weddings, Mother’s Day, Armed Forces Day, and Memorial Day - that we
would sit back and give you time to breathe. In addition, it is the last month
the Texas legislature meets for another two years and emails are flying fast
and furious asking you to contact your rep or senator to support this bill and
vote ‘no’ on that one. I sure hope you took an opportunity to go to Austin and
meet with your elected officials. They need to hear from you regularly.
The priorities we voted on at Convention and asked our senators and
representatives to support are mostly dying a slow but sudden death.
Unfortunately Texas government is growing because many of the elected
Republicans are working together with the Democrat minority to make this
happen. The Democrats control our House. We have more work to do to
save Texas. In the next two years we will continue to talk about how each
one of us can help. We must elect more conservatives who will do what they
promise.
This Memorial Day (Monday, May 26) we pause to remember and honor the
brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Wear the
red poppy, or Remembrance Poppy, as a symbol of the lives lost to war since World
War I (1914-1918). The sale of these red poppies benefit veteran’s associations and
fund many charities and veterans’ causes. (“In Flanders Fields” - poem)

The three main priorities of the Texoma Patriots are:
- Educating and protecting our children
- Eliminating property taxes
- Securing our elections
We invite you to join us in working on these three projects. Of course we
are not limited to only these. Other topics such as the expansion of Muslim
communities in Texas, protecting the electric grid, healthcare, limited
government, fiscal responsibility, the rule of law, and national sovereignty
are all items we will be discussing.
Please join our Signal group. This is an easy way for us to discuss issues as
they come up. Just let us know you want to join and send me your name,
email address, and phone number.
Again, please come to our meetings and learn about what is happening
nationally and locally. Our goal is to ensure freedom and prosperity for us
and future generations. We are the TEA Party!
