Van Alstyne School Board Candidate Forum is April 18!

Meet the candidates running for the Van Alstyne School Board. The forum is on Saturday, April 18th. It  starts at 1 p.m. We are meeting in the cafe of the Van Alstyne American Legion Post 376; the address is 293 Jay Road, Van Alstyne TX.

Evelyn Brooks, State Board of Education member from District 14, will open the meeting with an update on recent changes to policies and standards for Texas public schools.

Also invited are the candidates for the Howe school board. While they will not take part in the forum they will be available to talk with attendees before and after the meeting.

Early voting begins April 20 (Monday) and ends April 28 (Tuesday).

ELECTION DAY is Saturday, MAY 2nd.

Please come out and support your neighbors and friends who decided to run for school board. Find out who they are and what they would like to do to improve the public school education system for our students.
